I thought Pat Robertson died.....

Haiti had an earthquake because slaves made a pact with the devil 200 years ago for their freedom?

Wow!
I hate to think how much trouble the rest of us are in considering all of the various pacts that have been made with Dick Cheney over the years.

This blog is dedicated to the rest of us. Not the wingnuts on the far right and not the flaming liberals on the far left. The rest of us - the 60 or 70 percent of us who get ignored by the government and the media.

I'm tired of the media buying into pointless issues that are just distractions from the real problems out there.

I'm tired of the media NOT delving into issues that I REALLY want to know more about.

I'm tired of spin.

I'm really tired of it going past spin and becoming in-your-face lies told with a straight face. National figures of the Republican persuasion are the masters at this, but their Democratic counterparts don't lag all that far behind with their untrue versions of the truth.

The bottom line is we have a government who has lost sight of the reason we have a government. Rather than representing the citizens, our elected officials look upon the citizenry as a necessary evil....they have to get relected so they can maintain their positions of power and influence and be able to continue to cater to special interests...IE: the companies who pay vast amounts of money to keep them in office. They are only interested in we, the people as a source of revenue and as voters who must be led to believe what they want us to believe so they get our votes.

One of the Old Guys - Jefferson or Franklin - once said that people get the government we deserve. Well, folks, we must not deserve much because we sure as hell ain't getting much .
